Disconnected Memories
Danielle Tuiran
Danielle Tuiran’s Disconnected Memories is a nonlinear, first-person visual novel created in Twine that explores themes of counterfactual thinking. The player’s choices are the main drive of the game’s story; as they navigate through pivotal moments in their life, they’re encouraged to explore the many possible outcomes that could have happened had they made different choices. This interactive story blends elements of fiction and nonfiction, drawing inspiration from Danielle’s personal journey and her fascination with the multiverse. She intends for Disconnected Memories to encourage players to reflect on the choices that have shaped their lives up to this very moment.
